SUNDERBANI, Jan 19: An educational cum motivational tour for 20 Panchayat members from remote border area of the Sunderbani Tehsil of Rajouri District and Akhnoor Tehsil of Jammu District to Western India, was flagged off today by Commander, Kalidhar Brigade.
The tour was organized by Kalidhar Brigade under the aegis of Crossed Swords Division. The aim of the tour is to provide opportunities to Panchayat members of border areas to visit Jaipur and Agra and to have an insight into the rich culture and traditions of the country.
While flagging off the tour, Commander said that out of the various projects conducted by Army under Operation Sadbhavana, the tours of panchayat members to various parts of India have a lasting impression on their minds.
The tour is spread over a period of 10 days from January 19 to 28, 2015. During the tour, the panchayat members will visit cities of Jaipur and Agra and witness places of historical interest and national importance like Hawa Mahal, Birla Temple, Jal Mahal, Amar Fort, Agra Fort and Taj Mahal as well as various educational institutes.
The touring Panchayat members will also be interacting with important dignitaries at Jaipur and Agra.
