JAMMU, Jan 19: All J&K Low Paid Govt Employees Federation has urged upon the State Government to release pending 17% DA and enhance Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
In a meeting of the Jammu Provincial Committee of the Federation held here today under the leadership of Kabla Singh, the members endorsed the view point of State president Abdul Majid Khan that previous Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress Government criminally neglected the genuine and justified demands of the employees and pensioners. They said that two installments of 10% and 7% DA were pending and not disbursed to the employees and pensioners. Daily wagers’ pending demands of  regularization and review of minimum wages remained unattended. Adhoc, contractual, consolidated, daily rated and casual workers are demanding framing of definite  policy and regularization.
Kabla Singh strongly urged upon the State Governor to release pending DA of the employees and pensioners and enhance Medical allowance to Rs 1000 per month.
