But these lines seems so void and perhaps will be akin to selling ice to Eskimos,if told to ones who sent the innocent to eternity or to the promised land just for the reasons which had their roots in the rivalries and revenge taking instincts.
In 2014, Institute for Economics and Peace ranked India sixth on its new global terrorism index, on the other side lies the 143 rd rank of the nation on the global peace index. Is this a milestone or a defeat? Indeed a hypothetical question of the time. Its not just the unethical activities of the neighbouring nations spreading terror in nation but the internal insurgents.
Be it 26/11 or 16/12 attacks or the manhunts in northeast, all have terrorised people and have generated woes and grievances that will transmit to the posteristy to come. Terrorism is a menace that haunts people and infringes their right to peaceful life. An innocent chunk of people become scapegoats because of the rivalries, grudges and anti-human ambitions of terrorists fleecing people not of money but of their lives.
These terrorists’ activities often leave a legacy behind that will be hated for all times to come. They plant the seeds giving birth to unwarranted fears in one’s mind-what if i am watching a movies in a cinema hall and there’s a bomb blast, what if i board a bus or a plane and it gets hijacked, what if my parents go to a crowded market like Chandni Chowk or Karal Bagh and never come back, what if we go to school and 16/12 attack repeats,
All these premonitions and paranoid tendencies prove that terrorism terrorize not only physically but mentally too.
It’s time to encompass moral values. If the terrorists think that by terrorizing the innocent they can get through their work, then they are barking up the wrong tree. What they need to embrace is the milk of human kindness, for nothing exists above power of love and sentimental feelings.
Tolerance, compromise, love for humanity are the three keys to kill terrorists and hatred giving birth to it. Holding grudges since the time immemorial, burnig oneself with anger and then punishing the innocent humanity for the sake of revenge can never iron out the problems.
