Jammu Jan 21 : 3rd Christmas Soccer Champion- ship will be held from February 1, 2015 at Science College Football ground, here.
The decision in this regard was taken during a meeting headed by Fr. Kuriakose, Chairman Christian Sports Organization J&K.
Twelve top teams of the State including the University and College teams will be invited for the said tournament.
The cash prize for the winners will be Rs 1500.
The tournament will be open and will be played on knock-out basis.
Asif Gill, joint secretary of CSO and David Mattoo Incharge Conduct Committee of CSO will be the organizing secretaries of the Championship.
The Slogan of the Tournament shall be ” Be Healthy- Don’t Do Drugs” and the objective of the tournament is to celebrate festival of Christmas with all masses, to promote the sports culture in State.
“The tournament will be jointly organized by Christian Sports Organization and J&K Police”, said Rajesh Gill, president of the Christian Sports Organization.
The clubs from University and Colleges interested to participate in the championship will have to register themselves by or before January 27, 2015.
