RAJOURI, Jan 25: A leopard killed 10-year-old girl at village Bain Numbla near Kanthol in Kandi area of district Rajouri last night.
Reports said that 10-year-old, Rubina Kouser, daughter of Mohd Suleman, resident of Bain Numbla village went to attend call of nature behind her house at around 7.30 pm. A leopard ambushed the girl. She cried for help and the family members rushed with lathis but the leopard dragged the girl in the fields for some distance and then left dead with multiple injuries.
The villagers of the area said that this leopard had created terror in this belt and had already killed several animals. The people hesitate to come out of the house during night hours.
