RAJOURI, Jan 28: The people taking part in a religious procession held strong protest demonstration against the local administration and PHE authorities at Nowshera for their failure to provide water supply through tanker for hundreds of devotees participating in Shobha Yatra of Guru Ravi Dass ji.
A large number of people after completion of annual Shobha Yatra at Nowshera town moved to the Tehsil office complex and started protest demonstration. They alleged that the concerned officials of PHE Sub Division Nowshera and local administration failed to make arrangements of drinking water for the devotees despite the fact that Sub- Divisional administration had been informed by the Sabha committee members in advance about conduct of religious procession and its route.
They raised slogans against SDM, Tehsildar and AEE PHE and demanded action against the officials. Later, Tehsildar Nowshera, Akbar Khan appeared before them and assured action against the officials concerned. He claimed that PHE officials had already been informed about the matter. Then agitating people lifted dharna.
