Record placement season at MIET

JAMMU, July 30: Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) recorded the best placement season ever, with 292 offers of placement received from 22 reputed companies across India for the 2012 batch of graduating students.
The maximum salary package of Rs 4.5 lakh per annum was offered by Verse Innovation Ltd., Bengaluru to 8 students of MIET, while the average pay package was Rs 2.5 lakh per annum. Companies which recruited MIET students included L&T InfoTech, Verse Innovations, Global Logic Gurgaon, Syntel, Vodafone, Json Systems, Noida, Tech Brivo, Noida, AAS Technologies, Hyderabad, Rich Infra Pvt. Ltd, Chandigarh, Roufus Software, Gurgaon and IBM.
Rashmil Mishra Training & Placement Officer at MIET expressed confidence that the placements shall further increase in near future as many corporate houses have expressed interest in visiting the MIET campus for placements and several new linkages are expected to emerge. The success of MIET students during the placement process can be attributed to the institutional focus on overall personality development so that the students can progress into the future with the right attitude, vision and motivation. AMCAT an all India level Test was conducted for MIET students, which specializes in scientific computer based assessments to judge capability of individuals in multiple dimensions.
Chairman, MIER, Dr Arun K. Gupta, Director, MIER, Dr Renu Gupta, Principal, MIET Prof. S.K Sharma and Joint Director, MIET, Dr Ankur Gupta congratulated the students on their outstanding performance and complimented the placement team for their efforts. They hoped that MIET shall continue to forge beneficial alliances with the industry and ensure top-notch placements for its students in the near future.  Dr. Ankur Gupta promised to launch even more industry-focused programmes which equip the students with domain knowledge and practical skills in emerging areas.
