Police distributes relief material among flood affected

SRINAGAR, Jan 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Police today distributed relief material among flood victims at Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
“The relief material including blankets and utensils were distributed to 666 families of village Padgampora. They were provided blankets and utensils,” SP Awantipora, Tahir Saleem said.
He said that under civic action program study chairs for 75 school children were provided to Government Primary school Larkipora.
The SP said that Padgampora was one of the worst flood hit villages of last year flood and so was selected under civic action program.
The function was presided over by DIG South Kashmir, Alok Kumar, who also inaugurated the Health Club-cum-Fitness centre at DPL Awantipora, which is equipped with latest Gym equipments for fitness of jawans.
