KCC Jammu outplays Stadium XI Kathua in 2nd quarter final

KATHUA, Feb 1: KCC Jammu drubbed Stadium XI Kathua by 3 wickets in 2nd quarter final match in the ongoing 5th Police Martyrs Memorial Inter-Club North Zone T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Shaheed Welfare Committee Kathua and J&K Police Department at Sports Stadium, here.
Batting first, Stadium XI Kathua scored 118 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing eight wickets in the process. Romy was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Ankush contributed 27 runs to the total. For KCC Jammu, Manik Gupta took three wickets, Sowmay Jain bagged two wickets while Akash claimed one wicket.
In reply, KCC Jammu chased the target in 19.5 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process and thus won the match by 3 wickets. Manik Gupta, Vicky and Sandy contributed 31, 29 and 27 runs, respectively to the total. For Stadium XI Kathua, Mayank was the wrecker-in-chief, who bagged 3 important wickets. Arvind and Shiv Dutt also claimed one wicket each.
Manik Gupta of KCC Jammu was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
