KATHUA, Feb 6: In order to promote Sports Culture in rural areas through youth clubs, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) in collaboration with Lions Youth Club, Uccha Pind organized Inter Youth Club Sports tournament at Govt. High School, Uchha Pind. In the tournament, Volleyball, kabaddi and athletics events were organized in systematic manner.
In the tournament, 10 teams from Thara-Kalwal, Gura-Kalwal, Ramkot, Bilaspur, Drung, Ucha-Pind-A, Uchha-Pind-B, Lakhri, Danjsdhar and Malhar participated.
In Kabaddi competitions, Uchha-Pind defeated Thara-Kalwal in very thrill-full match and lifts the trophy.
In volleyball competitions, in final Bilaspur defeated Thara Kalwal 22:25, 25:23, 25:21 points and won the trophy.
District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, urged upon youth to form Youth club and involve youth in Sports, Cultural and Social developmental activities for the welfare of youth and society.
Tehsildar, Ramkote was chief guest on the occasion and gave away the trophies and certificates to the winning teams.
On the occasion, Naryan Dutt Tripathi, National Youth Awardee, Kuldeep Abrol and Anil Gupta were prominent persons present on the occasion.
