POONCH, Feb 9: Two matches of Police T20 Cricket Tournament were played at Government Degree College ground, here today.
The first match was played between Khalsa Cricket Club and Malik Cricket Club, wherein former thrashed latter with a big margin.
Earlier, batting first, KCC scored 147 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Aman was the top scorer with 39 runs, while Sarvjeet contributed 37 runs to the total. For Malik Cricket Club, Mukhtar and Shabbir took 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Malik Cricket Club collapsed at meagre 43 runs. Riaz Dar was the top scorer with 16 runs. Khalsa Cricket Club won comprehensively by a huge margin of 104 runs.
The match was officiated by Pritpal and Baba.
The second match was played today between YCC and Zaffar Cricket Club Poonch. Winning the toss and batting first, YCC scored 142 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Zahid, Pritpal and Wahied were the main scorers with 33, 28 and 26 runs respectively. Rahiel was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 3 important wickets by conceding 24 runs.
In reply, Zaffar Cricket Club Poonch was bundled out for 105 runs. Imran with 18 runs was the top scorer. Zahid and Rocky took 3 wickets each for the winners.
The match was officiated by Pritpal and Parvaiz Ahmed.
Irshad Sofi, CEO Municipality was the chief guest of the match, while Tariq Khan, Matinder Pal Singh Monty and Daman Preet Singh were also present on the occasion.
