VC JDA visits upcoming housing colonies

Jammu, Feb 11: The Vice Chairman JDA Mubarakh Singh visited upcoming housing colonies at Birpur and Gole Gujral to take stock of the progress of development activities and infrastructure. He also visited the areas of Bain Bajalta and Pargalta and issued instructions to the Superintendent Engineer, JDA for expediting the work like connecting roads, power installation and drinking water facilities in the colony and also making a detailed plan for provisions of parks, green spaces, land scaping etc. in the colonies being developed by Jammu Development Authority.
The Vice Chairman expressed his concern about the encroachment of land belonging to JDA in different areas and issued directions to Director Land Management  and Khilafwarzi Officer to take stringent action including registration of FIRs against the encroachers and others who are indulging in raising of construction without building permission or in violation of by-laws.
He also cautioned the staff that strict action shall be taken against the delinquent and negligent officers/officials.  It was also disclosed that JDA has started handing over of possession of plots in the colonies at Gole Gujral, Birpur and Kot Bhalwal to the allottees who have made full premium against these plots. The Jammu Development Authority has also appealed to the allottees to deposit full premium and take immediate possession of their plots.
The Chief Town Planner, Director Land Management, Superintendent Engineer and Khilafwarzi Officer accompanied Vice Chairman during visit.
Earlier, Vice Chairman convened a meeting of BOCA and cleared 43 pending cases of building permission. He impressed upon the officers/officials of JDA to work with dedication to redress the genuine problems of general public.
