JAMMU, Feb 12: The Hockey (Men) team of the University of Jammu left for participation in the North Zone Inter-University Hockey (Men) Tournament 2014-15 being organized by PAU Ludhiana in Punjab from February 13, 2015.
The University team comprised of 18 players namely Taranveer Singh (Captain), Kawalpreet Singh, Jaspinder Singh, Pushpinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Dalbir Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Gurtaj Singh, Ashwani Jasrotia, Kashav Singh, Tarvinderpal Singh, Saval Ahmed Sheikh, Rishiv Sharma, Akshay Sharma, Gursharan Singh, Mamohan Sharma, Sumit Kumar Khajuria and Rohit Jasrotia.
P D Singh is accompanying the team as a coach whereas Charanjeet Singh as manager.
Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu extended his wishes to the players and officials accompanying the team for their successful participation in the said tournament.
