SAMBA, Feb 12: Govt Degree College, Samba organized symposium on environmental laws, here today.
Swati Gupta, Special Additional Mobile Magistrate Samba was the chief guest on the occasion, who expressed her deep concern on the awareness and protection of environment laws.
The Principal of College, Dr Ramesh Chander welcomed the chief guest and opined that this universe is controlled by Nature and it is quite wrong to play with the laws of Nature.
Raman Chalotra and Vijay Kumar also spoke on the occasion and enlightened the students by discussing articles associated with the environmental laws.
A total of seven students expressed their views regarding the protection of environment.
The jury, on the occasion was Dr M S Pathania, Dr Sandhya Rani and Prof Surbhi Gupta.
Digvijay Singh got 1st prize, while Sakshi and Diksha bagged 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. Arti was given consolation prize.
Prominent among other faculty members present on the occasion were Dr Sarabjeet Kaur Reen, Dr Seema, Prof Anupma Kumari, Prof Sushma, Prof Kamal Jeet and Prof Anu.
