JAMMU, Feb 21: Nav Yug Higher Secondary School, Upper Shiv Nagar, Jammu organized Annual Sports Day with pomp and show in the School premises, here today.
239 students from Classes 2nd to 7th participated in various events during the day.
Preetika Jmawal, Principal of the Institute in her address stressed upon the significance of sports in the lives of students and explained as to how it can help in developing all-round personality.
The events held included banana race, pick and collect, cap relay race, hanging buns, needle in thread race and button the shirts race.
The students who won gold medals included Badal, Sakshi, Kartavya, Dhairya, Anmol, Arpita, Neha, Rachit, Riya, Ruther, Sumit, Shanv and Mehul, while the silver medals were bagged by Navdeep, Dhruv, Priyal, Nayan, Ansh, Swayam, Vasu, Sohani, Karmanya, Nitika, Chanvi, Shubham, Anmol, Diksha and Harsh, while the bronze medals were claimed by Shriya, Bhanu Pratap, Prince Anthal, Mannat, Harsh and Gourav.
School Founder, Chander Kanta Jamwal lauded the efforts of the winners for excelling in different events.
