JAMMU, Feb 24: A meeting of the State Sports Scholarship Committee was convened today under the chairmanship of Director General Youth Services & Sports, and Navin Agarwal, to finalize the sports scholarship to the players who represented the state within and outside the state and won various medals.
The meeting decided to award sports scholarship to the Players who have represented the state during 2015 in 60th National School Games and each participating players shall also be awarded an amount of Rs. 1750/-each.
A total amount of Rs. 9,32,000 was sanctioned in favour of 384 student players of National Level and 15 Gold Medalists , 08 Silver Medalist & 29 Bronze Medalist in National School Games held during the current year.
The players who have not submitted their scholarship forms due to certain reasons were advised to submit the same in their respective District Headquarters & the scholarship to such players shall be considered in the month of May, 2015.
Director Physical Education, University of Jammu; Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports Kashmir besides other officers attended the meeting.
