POUNI, Feb 24: A Health Club was inaugurated at Pouni in District Reasi by Shiv Kumar Sharma, treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India who was present on the occasion as a chief guest, while Bansi Lal Tidyal, general secretary J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Mulk Raj Sharma, chairman technical committee of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association were the guests of honour.
Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, a local wrestler who represented J&K State at National level many a time presented welcome address in which he highlighted aims and objectives of opening the Club in the rural periphery which is to create a sense of awareness among rural youth to develop sportsmanship in their career.
Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association hailed Jagdish Raj Sharma (Capt. Retd.) for his endeavors to initiate such constructive steps for the welfare of budding sports persons of the area besides providing gym facilities to ladies.
Sunil Sharma coach of the gym was also present on the occasion who while presenting vote of thanks said that exercise by means of modern equipments can facilitate the personality development among youths and channelizing their surplus energy for constructive purposes rather than falling in bad society.
Captain Jagdish Raj (Retd.), Chairman of the gym announced relaxation in fee structure and free gym facilities to sportsperson of the area who excels at State and National level.
Among others present on the occasion included local body builders of the gym, Jagdish Raj Sharma, Devinder Abrol, Anil Kumar, Kamal Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Lehar Singh, Devinder Dutt Sharma, Saskhi and Meenakshi Sharma.
