Cyber security threat biggest challenge, says Govt

NEW DELHI, Feb 25:
Cyber security threat is posing a biggest challenge for the country and a committee of expert has been constituted to look into all aspects, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
Speaking during Question Hour, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, “We are aware of the threat being posed by cyber crime and the government is moving in a time bound manner to face the challenge.”
The Minister said the committee has been asked to submit its report within three months. As soon as they received the report, the government would chalk out a detailed plan to strengthen the cyber security.
On a query on the Left Wing Extremism, the Minister said the Centre was closely monitoring the situation and supplements the efforts of the State Governments. (UNI)
