JTC Club registers 5-wkt victory over CSO

JAMMU, Feb 28: Jammu Tawi Cricket Club registered emphatic win by 5 wickets over Christian Sports Organisation (CSO) to stay alive in the Jammu City T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by Jammu Police under the supervision of SDPO Perbeet Singh Parihar at Parade Ground, here.
The tournament is being organized under Civic Action Programme (CAP) of JK Police Department with the objective to provide platform for the youths of the Jammu City to exhibit their sports talent and channelize their energy in a right direction.
Earlier, batting first, Christian Sports Organization scored 131 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Puneet top scored with 50 runs, while Anchal contributed 33 runs to the total. Aaryan and Prince took 3 wickets each for JTC Club, while Parkash and Rahul shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Tawi Club achieved the target in 15 overs by losing 5 wickets to win the match by 5 wickets. Rahul was the main scorer with 62 runs, while Amarjeet contributed 30 runs to the total. For CSO, Ambroose took 3 wickets, while Nitu Khokher and Anchal shared 1 wicket each. Rahul was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sanju, Sahil and Vinod.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Tawi Cricket Club will take on JKP XI at 9 am, while Khalsa Cricket Club will lock horns with KC Sports Club at 11.30 am and Jammu Police will face Jammu Eleven Star at 3 pm.
