JAMMU, Aug 3: To select the State team for Junior National Men Hockey Championship to be held at Lucknow from September 1 to September 9, 2012, under the banner of Hockey India, the Hockey Jammu and Kashmir would conduct selection trials on August 7 and 8 from 4:30 pm at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
According to a handout issued here, the players interested to take part in the trials will have to undergo medical test for estimation of their age by a board of doctors as per the guidelines of Hockey India.
“Players should bring their original date of birth proof with them.
Players born after 01-01-1993 are eligible for the trials,” the handout added.

“If the medical test of any player is doubtful, he shall have to go for another medical test and if the report is found incorrect, the player may face a ban for one year and an imposition of Rs 5,000 as fine”, said Romal Singh, general secretary, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir.
