JAMMU, Mar 11: Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) and Wave Cricket Club registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing Jammu Tawi Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
In the first match Wave Cricket Club defeated Evershine Cricket Club in a close contest by 2 wickets. Batting first, Evershine Club scored 110 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Hardeep Singh top scored with 24 runs, while Prithi Pal Singh and Anil contributed 20 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For Wave Club, Gagan took 4 wickets, KD bagged 3 and Aman claimed one.
In reply, Wave Club chased the target on the penultimate ball of the innings by losing 8 wickets and won the match by 2 wickets. Gagan scored 23 runs, while Kamal Preet and Aman contributed 19 and 15 runs to the total respectively. For Evershine Club, Bansi took 3 wickets, while Narinder claimed 2 wickets. Gagan was adjudged as man of the match.
In another match, KCCC defeated Malik CC by a big margin of 64 runs. KCCC scored a decent total of 157 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Vimarsh Kaw was the top scorer with 67 runs, while Pardeep Bali and Hrithik contributed with 33 and 19 runs respectively. Sunny and Hamid took 2 wickets each for Malik CC.
In reply, Malik Club bundled out for a paltry total of 93 runs to lose the match by 64 runs. Arun was the main scorer with 23 runs. Ankush Bandral was the wrecker-in-chief for KCCC, who captured 5 important wickets, while Raman Dutta took 2 wickets. Ankush Bandral was declared as man of the match.
