MENDHAR, Mar 11: Department of Geography, Government Degree College, Mendhar organized one-day seminar on “Physical Geography” under the guidance of Prof M Qasim Mir and Prof Mahroof Ahmed.
The seminar was based on three phases. In the first phase which was for the students, as many as 6 students presented their papers in the seminar on various topics of physical geography.
The students who presented their papers included Sahil Chandan from B.Sc semester II, Shan Ali of B.Sc semester II, Waqar Ahmed of B.Sc semester II, Sobia Ferdose of B.A. semester II, Sabha Ferdose of B.A. part II and Razwana Khan of B.A. part II.
In the second phase, Prof Mohd Mahroof presented his topic “Different types of Landforms” on power point and Prof Mohd Qasim Mir presented his topic “Origin Solar System” on power point.
The proceedings of the seminar were conducted by Prof Zafar Iqbal and vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Shokit Hussain.
Prof Shabir Hussain Shah, Principal of the College presided over the seminar.
Those who were present on the occasion were Dr. Zulifqar Ali Shah, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Ajaz-ur-Rehman and Mohd Aslam. Prof Shokit Hussain, Dr M Azam, Prof Javed Manzoor, Prof A A Choudhary, Dr Firdous Ahmed, Prof Shabnum, Prof Mohd Aziz, Prof Muzafar Iqbal, Prof Javed Ahmed, Prof. Shazia Kouser, Prof Shabnum, Prof Sanjogita, Prof Yaser¸ Prof Tojo Sharma, Prof Meeraj-ud-Din and Prof Alyas Ahmed.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Prof Shokit Hussain.
