JAMMU, Mar 15: A two week long yoga camp which was organized by Government at Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu here concluded today. The camp was organized on the directives of Director General ISM Abdul Kabir Dar.
Dr Dar said it is the policy of the Minister of Health and Medical Education and ISM Department to serve and aware the people of the State about various aspects of yoga to keep themselves in the State of good health.
During the camp special yoga Asans, Shukshm Yogic Kriyas, Anu Preksha, Prekshadhan and Kayoutsarg were taught to the people so that they can raise and develop immune system against diseases specially swine flu.
Dr Anil Sharma, Medical Officer in Wasthviritta and Yoga and Dr Mahesh Shara a Yoga and Health Science expert were imparted training during the camp. Dr Anil Sharma also taught about Swasthvarita mention in Ayurveda i.e life Style of living, cleanliness and food habits according to season, age, place and also prevention/ precaution at the time of epidemic which prevents the person from diseases and enhance the immunity.
Dr Rajesh Sharma incharge officer, Government Ayurvedic Hospital assured that in future Ayurvedic Hospitals will organize more camps in different diseases.
