JAMMU, Mar 15: M J Sharma (IFS) was unanimously re-elected president of the J&K Amateur Fencing Association for a period of four years in its 3rd General Body Meeting for the election of its executive body, here today.
The meeting was presided over by Ex MP Madan Lal Sharma (patron-in-chief), chaired by the existing president Mr Sharma.
MLA Ramnagar, R S Pathania, Ex MLC, Brij Mohan Sharma and DC Jammu, Ajit Kumar Sahu, besides Falail Singh and K S Jasrotia were the special guests.
The observers included S K Prashar from Fencing Association India, Abdul Qayum and Nuzrat Ara from J&K State Sports Council and Ashutosh Sharma from the J&K Olympic Association.
Mohinder Sharma and M M Sharma were unanimously elected as general secretary and treasurer respectively.
Office bearers of Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Kishtwar, and Doda participated in the election process.
After his election, president of the Asociation lauded the efforts of the players and coaches for outstanding achievements.
