JAMMU, Aug 4: Under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association, the Jammu City and District Badminton Association would hold 27th Jammu District Badminton Championship from August 23 to August 26 at Multipurpose Hall, Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of Jammu City and District Badminton Association, which was chaired by its president Dilbag Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu, here today.
According to a handout issued here, the Association has advised the players to deposit their entry fee with badminton coaches Satpal Sharma or Vikram Jamwal or organizing secretary, Som Raj Gupta.
“The entries for Under-10 years and new participants in all the events would be accepted only when they produce date of birth certificates,” the handout added.
For avoiding confusion in calculating age, the organizers have issued a circular, which says that player of under-10 years age group should be born on January 1st 2003 or after, Under-13 years on January 1st 2000 or after, under-15 on January 1st 1998 or after, Under-17 on January 1st 1996 or after and Under-19 on January 1st 1994 or after.
Meanwhile, the fee for Under-10 boys and girls in singles event would be Rs 30, for Under-13 years singles event, it will be Rs 40, while for Under-14 doubles event, the fee will be Rs 80. For Under-15 singles and doubles, it would be Rs 60 and 100 respectively, while for Under-17 and Under-19 singles and doubles event, the fee will be Rs 80 and 120 respectively. For men/women singles and doubles event, the entry fee would be Rs 100 and Rs 150 respectively, while for veteran singles and doubles, it would be Rs 100 and 200 respectively.
