JAMMU, Mar 16: G D Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust organised “A Fair of Wonders”, the Environmental Sciences Exhibition, here today.
Varsha Bansal, the chief guest inaugurated the Exhibition and was highly impressed with the display of the creative expression of children.
She appreciated the content of their respective topics like ‘Means of Transport and Communication’, ‘Land Forms and Water Bodies’, ‘Value of Food’, ‘Live Experiments on Properties of Air and Water’, ‘Living and Non-Living Things’ and ‘Our Festivals’.
Live models were put on display. The students moved around as planets of the Solar system and explained the reasons for days and nights.
The models of different types of houses were put on display. The concept of people who help us was creatively shown with a Farm, a Hospital, a School, and Traffic Police etc.
The value of nutritive food and problems like obesity because of junk food was highlighted with models.
The parents and other dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers who put an interesting and creative event.
Sanya Bansal, Director of the School and Principal, Dr R P Singh congratulated Nishita Sharma and Shipra Bali along with their team of teachers for putting in their efforts in equipping the students with different skills and techniques to help them to be responsible citizens.
