JAMMU, Mar 16: About 7269 cases were disposed off in the National Lok Adalat held across the State for the cases under Land Acquisition Act, Revenue & MGNREGA at High Court, District and Tehsil level.
During the Lok Adalat, 76 cases of Land Acquisition , 910 Revenue cases and 6283 MGNREGA cases were settled and an amount of Rs. 4,82,90,64, was settled in Land Acquisition cases while Rs. 6,33,16,441 was awarded in MGNREGA cases.
The LoK Adalat was held under the patronage of Chief Justice, High Court of J&K Justice N.Paul Vasanthakumar, and Patron-in-Chief J&K State Legal Services Authority, and guidance of Judge, High Court of J&K and Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir.
