Trailing 0-1 AG Punjab staged a fine rally to defeat AG Uttar Pradesh by 4-1 in a well-contested semi-final of the three-day North Zone Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IA and AD) Hockey Tournament at International Hockey Stadium in Mohali today AG UP opened their account with goal from Sanjay in 28th minute of second quarter. AG Punjab immediate retaliated and equalized in 29th minute through Pawan Bassi who scored a field goal. In third quarter AG Punjab scored beautiful field goal through Pawan Bassi. In 42nd minute, Mukul Bhargaw scrored another field goal to make it 3-1. In the 53rd minute Ranbir Singh of AG Punjab scored beautiful field goal to make it 4-1.
In the second semi-final AG Haryana blanked Delhi Audit in one sided affair by 7-0. From AG Haryana, Ajit Pal Singh, Gaurav Hans, Sunil Shah, Gurmit Singh, Gaurav Tokhi and Triveni Prasad scored one goal each. (PTI)
