GHSS RS Pura, Ward No-5 register wins

RS PURA, Mar 18: Government Higher Secondary School R S Pura and Ward-No 5 RS Pura registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Bana Singh Stadium, here today.
In the first match, GHSS RS Pura defeated Bhagat Singh Cricket Club by 6 wickets in an easy contest. Bating first, Bhagat Singh Club scored a paltry total of 89 runs in the allotted 12 overs, while in reply, GHSS RS pura chased the target in 10 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Sagar of GHSS RS Pura was adjudged man of the match for his match winning contribution of 27 runs.
In another match, Ward-No 5 RS Pura got the better off Press Club RS Pura by 4 wickets in a close contest.
Batting first, Press Club scored 105 runs in 15 overs, while in reply, Ward No-5 chased the target in 14.4 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. For his knock of 33 runs, Billa of the winning team was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Pankaj Sasun and Kamal Kishore as umpires, while Ramneek Singh acted as scorer.
The CAP activities are being held under the supervision of S Randheer Singh, SP Hqrs, Jammu.
