JAMMU, Mar 23: Guru Nanak Club smashed Young Heroes in the final match and lifted the title trophy of District Jammu Korfball Championship.
The main scorers from the winning team were Mohit Singh, Ashwani and Sonia, whileas for runner-up team, Irfan Choudhary, Abhishek and Meenakshi were main scorers.
Earlier, in the first semis, Guru Nanak Club beat Diamond Club and in the second semis, Young Heroes Club crushed Evergreen Club.
On the valedictory function, JBS Bali, joint secretary, J&K Sports Council was the chief guest, who gave medals to winner and runner up teams.
Among others present were Tarlok Singh, president, J&K Korfball Association, KS Rishi, general secretary, Manjeet Singh, secretary, Desh Bandhu and VP Sharma, joint secretaries and RK Sharma.
The referee for the final match was Manjeet Singh, International Player.
