Army distributes books, stationery among students

SRINAGAR, Mar 23: Army’s 50 Rashtiya Rifles Battalion distributed furniture, stationery and sports items to students from poor families in Pampore today.
The ceremony was organised as part of ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ of Army in which more than hundreds of students were benefited.
On the occasion, Army distributed tables, chairs, stationery items including hundreds of bags, lockers, boards, note books, pencils, pens, different types of charts and model and sports items which included cricket kit, badminton kit, volleyball, football and carom board to students.
The programme was organized at Government Middle School, Lalpora Chatlam area of Pampore in Pulwama district in which number of students, teachers and parents took part. Teachers of Educational Department also attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Army Officer said this cooperative act of the Army is being seen as a friendly gesture of good will which will leads to strengthen the bound between Army and the locals populace.
He promised for all possible help from the Army to the students and local population of Pampore villages in future also.
