JAMMU, Mar 29: J&K Sports Powerlifting Association team brought laurels to the State.
The team participated in North-India Powerlifting and Bench-Press Championship at Shimla in Himachal Pradesh and excelled by winning a galaxy of medals.
Tajinder Singh won gold medal in Bench-Press Powerlifting Championship, while Rakesh Kumar bagged silver medal in Powerlifting and in women category, Irvinder Kour clinched bronze medal in full Powerlifting Championship.
The team was honoured by the Managing Committee of the Association including Rajan Jain, general secretary, Anil Saini, secretary, Preet Dutta, joint secretary and Faisal Paul, joint secretary.
