JAMMU, Apr 1: St Xavier Convent School, Barnai celebrated its 19th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function at General Zorawar Singh Audtorium, University of Jammu, here today.
Soujanya Sharma, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest on the occasion, while Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan Jammu and Ex-MLC SM Gill were also present on the occasion.
Rev Father Udhay Singh, St Pault’s Church, Jammu blessed the gathering and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the students, staff and the institution.
The programme began with a prayer to invoke the blessings of Almighty.
Students presented beautiful cultural items including Punjabi, Hindi, Rajasthani and Western songs and dances.
The heart touching dances and ‘qwalli’ were fully enjoyed by the parents and the guests. Students also performed Krishana Leela on the occasion.
HR Padha, Director of the Institution presented annual report of the School.
The meritorious students of the Institution were felicitated by the chief guest with memntoes, certificates and cash prizes.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the School management and teachers for excellent results.
