JAMMU, Apr 10: Launching a scathing attack on the BJP for its criminal neglect in representing the cause of people who catapulted it to power, JKNPP chairman and former minister, Harshdev Singh has regretted that the saffron party utterly failed to execute its much proclaimed role in the just concluded session of the Assembly.
He said that the saffron party, which had seduced and mesmerized the hordes of passionate voters by their loud exhortations and delusive promises, drew a flak by surrendering on almost all its issues and slogans. “The BJP ultimately showed itself in its true colours by making one compromise after the other for power alone,” he alleged while addressing a public rally at Ramnagar after taking out a procession through the main Bazars today.
Accusing the BJP of surrendering on Rs 1600 crore AIIMS project, Harshdev alleged that not a single BJP MLA raised his voice against this highly treacherous bargain during the three week long session of the State Assembly despite the fact that the said premier health institute was proposed for Jammu region in the Union Budget session. He further lambasted the BJP for failure to introduce the Bill for Delimitation of Assembly constituencies as promised by it in its vision documents.
Highlighting the local issues of Ramnagar constituency, Harshdev Singh sought the early blacktopping of all PMGSY roads at the earliest so as to provide the much needed facility to the local people. He sought immediate establishment of all the 19 PHCs, Health centres and schools approved during the previous year. He also called for early establishment of Model Schools in Nagrota PanGrain and Babey villages, Girls Hostels for Garh Samnabhanj, Dalsar and Chowki, launch of new courses in the University campus Ramnagar, completion of its infrastructure and immediate construction of buildings for new Health centers, Schools and new administrative units.
