Army organizes lecture on ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’

POONCH, Apr 11: Continuing with its efforts to educate and promote the locals about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion today conducted an awareness lecture on the topic at Government High School, Sandote.
The programme was aimed at educating youth and locals to accomplish the vision of a clean and serene Bharat. The programme was structured on the theme of hygiene and cleanliness. The points included policies of Government required to be enforced and restructured with comprehensive rural sanitation programme as officially launched on October last year at Rajghat, New Delhi.
The entire efforts highlighted that the abhiyan is “Beyond Politics” and to be ‘Inspired by Patriotism’. During the programme, it was also conveyed that there is an incentive scheme offered by the Government in the form of an award at various levels for total sanitation coverage and maintenance of clean environment.
A total strength of 45 students, school teachers as well as locals participated in the lecture cum campaign.
