Cricket tournament ‘YPL’ held at YCET

JAMMU, Apr 15: The grand finale of Yogananda Premier League (YPL), a week-long cricket Tournament was held at Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) Sports Ground, here today.
Five teams representing different departments of engineering namely Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and Information Technology participated in the event.
Er. Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, was the chief guest of the occasion.
The event was organized by Golden Gladiators Club under the leadership of Er. Loveneesh Talwar Sports In-Charge. Er. Suraj Krishan Kher, Pawan Kumar and Er Ankush Sharma were the umpires.
The event witnessed high degree of enthusiasm and sporting spirit among budding engineers. In a keenly contested match between Civil and Electrical Engineering teams, in which the latter defeated the former to lift the glittering trophy.
Prizes were given away to the winners by the chief guest Er Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI.
Coveted ‘man of the match’ award was given to Himanshu Lehra for his blitzkrieg knock.
Dr Seema Narain, Director YCET presented vote of thanks.
Er Bodh Raj Verma, Dean Academics, RS Dalpatia, Dy Registrar, A K Kaul, TPO  and senior faculty members Er. Rajnish Magotra, Er. Neeraj Pandita, Er. Rhea Mahajan, Er. Dinesh Gupta and Dr Preeti Verma were present on the occasion.
Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI congratulated the winners for success in the tournament.
