BHADERWAH, Aug 8: 4 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under the aegis of 4 Sector RR organized an Inter-School Quiz Competition at Government High School Nichla Thatra, here today.
SDM Bhaderwah Dr Ravi Bharti was the chief guest on the occasion, while CO 4 RR Yudvir Singh was the guest of honor and presided over the competition.
Students from eleven schools of the area comprising 11 teams, with four students each, competed in the event with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The event was witnessed by teachers and students representatives of each school. The students were quizzed in a variety of subjects ranging from science, geography, mathematics, sports and current affairs. The competing students were full of excitement and left no stone unturned to win laurels for their respective schools.
Kendriya Vidhyalaya Bhaderwah was declared winner in the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Commanding Officer of 4 Rashtriya Rifles Col Yudvir Singh explained the importance of education for the betterment of future. The teachers expressed satisfaction over the organization of the competition and said that such kinds of competitive activities organised by the Army go a long way in building confidence and enhancing self esteem amongst the youth.
Certificates, mementos and medals were also distributed among the participants by the organizers as a good will gesture.
