JAMMU Apr 18: Jodo Gyan, one of the premier NGOs in South East Asia, is an organization working to find workable solutions to the problems in classroom practices.
The organization conducts in-service workshops, apart from designing, producing, and procuring low cost teaching and learning materials (TLMs), for promoting activity based education involving innovative methods in mathematics.
Heritage School Jammu organized a workshop for its Primary Staff in order to further equip them for providing quality education to our children to enable them to embark on the path of inquiry based learning.
The workshop was conducted by an experienced resourse person from ‘Jodo Gyan’.
The Premise of this enterprise and workshop was based on the fact that mathematical concepts are learnt in a process of communication between teachers and children, whose understanding are very different.
In his welcome address, the Vice Principal reiterated his firm belief in the activity based teaching as the best way of learning by children.
The workshop concluded with vote of thanks by the Headmistress.
