JAMMU, Apr 19: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Group Centre Kootah, celebrated Raising Day.
As a part of celebrations, the CRPF unit organised a fair (Mela) near Sainik School, Nagrota. IGP CRPF Group Centre Kootah S S Dogra and R K Sharma, DIG CRPF inaugurated the Mela.
Commandant, S S Gill, Group Centre Kootah welcomed the guests and others on the occasion. A large number of CRPF personnel and their families attended the function.
The cultural and sports activities were the part of their programme in which CRPF children/ families participated. The chief guest and other special invitees lauded the performance of the participants. The IGP stressed the need to organize such gala events on such occasions.
Several shops and stalls were established at the Mela venue. The guests also had a round of the Mela stalls. Dy Commandant Mritunjay Kumar and Assistant Commandant of the unit Vivek Sarkar made the guests feel at home. Many attractive stalls were displayed specially to attract the CRPF children.
