JAMMU, Apr 21: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has strongly opposed the new recruitment policy of the State, proposed by the PDP-BJP coalition Government on last Sunday.
ABVP convened a meeting here today under the leadership of State president Dr Virender Koundal to discuss the new recruitment policy. In the meeting, State office bearers of ABVP strongly opposed the new policy and alleged that the State Government was befooling youth of J&K by introducing Contractualism in Education, Health and other sectors. They further alleged that the Government had created confusion by degrading the State cadre post of Lecturers and Assistant Surgeons etc to the district cadre by encroaching the autonomy of PSC.
“This policy has not mentioned about the reservation of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, etc for selecting the candidates. Moreover, this policy will encourage slavery of the controlling officers instead of work culture,” ABVP opined and reminded the State Government that previous NC- Congress coalition regime had also tried to play with the sentiments of J&K youth by introducing such type of policy but was forced to withdraw the same under the strong protest.
ABVP warned the State Government not to impose such anti-youth policy or be ready to face the consequences.
Prominent among those present in the meeting, including Dr Narinder Singh, Dr Rakesh Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Ganesh Kunde, Avinash Sethi, Aman Sharma and Balbir Singh.
