UDHAMPUR, Apr 22: In a tragic incident, two young brothers drowned in a Bajeen Nallah near Sudhmahadev, here today.
The deceased were identified as 25-year old Mani and his younger brother 19-year old Jawad, sons of Amid of Khun in Udhampur district.
Reports said that the incident took place when elder brother accidentally slipped into the nallah while in attempt to rescue him, the younger brother too jumped into the water and both of them drowned.
Later, the bodies were fished out by the locals and shifted to hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile, a cyclist was knocked to death by a speeding truck near Mian Bagh, Dhar Road Udhampur. The deceased was identified as Joginder Kumar (25), son of Gopal Das of Ritti.
