JAMMU, Apr 24: N N Vohra, Governor, has presented “Rolling Trophies” to the Universities of Kashmir, Jammu and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and asked the Vice Chancellors to organize Annual Declamation Contests which would involve participation of students from colleges and institutions of higher education in J&K, Punjab, Haryana, Union Territory of Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
It is envisaged that such an annual event will provide a fruitful opportunity for the participants, particularly those from the colleges in the remote areas of J&K to engage in meaningful public debates on important issues and also enhance their confidence and capacities.
The dates for these Declamation Contests shall be fixed by the concerned Universities.
