Presentation Convent organizes debate competition

JAMMU, Apr 25: Presentation Convent School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu conducted its signature event Annual Nano Nagle Memorial Inter-School Debate Competition in its Auditorium, here today.
The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries.
The students remembered their Nano Nagle and paid a loving tribute to her through prayer dance.
The topic of the debate was “Reforms in the Indian Higher Education System Would Lessen Drain from India “.
Prof Veena Pandita, Secretary State Board of School Education, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while ID Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides was the guest of honour.
The first prize was bagged by Mehula Khajuria of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary, Jammu, the second prize went to Shivang Puri of Jodhamal Public Schol and the third prize was shared by Akanksha Sharma of Jodhamal and Srishti Mishra of Air Force School and the consolation prize went to Ayushi Sharma of APS Domana.
Ten School participated in the event which was held under the guidance of president School Alumni Association, Poonam Kotwal. The Nano Nagle Memorial Inter-School Debate Rolling Trophy went to Jodhamal Public School.
