JAMMU, Apr 26: Naeem Akhter, Minister for Education, J&K visited Doon International School Jammu to inaugurate 1st academic session (2015-16).
He was welcomed by G N Tantray, Chairman Doon International School Jammu, Vikesh Kaur, Principal of the School along with other distinguished guests.
After unveiling the inauguration stone, he took a round of the School building and appreciated the modern and progressive infrastructure of the School. Small cultural programme was presented by the students and staff of the School.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Akhter appreciated the courageous endeavor of the Chairman  G N Tantray to open a school of International Standard in Chowadhi area for the benefit of the children from surrounding areas.
He also appreciated the management for recruiting such a highly qualified staff.
Adding another feather to the cap, Mr Naeem  entrusted the responsibility to adopt the Government Primary School, Chowadhi to the Chairman of the School which was happily accepted by him.
Mr. Tantray assured to provide every possible support for this noble cause.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Hameed Chaudhary,  Asgar Chaudhary, Tahair Ashraff,  Jatinder Singh, J K Sudan, Padama Dolkar, staff and the students.
