SAMBA, Apr 27: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Samba organized an Inter School District Level Badminton Championship at Govt Boys Hr. Sec. School, here today. 21 participants drawn from all five zones participated in the tournament.
The tournament was inaugurated by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba, Subash Chander in presence of Narinder Singh, Principal of the School.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Vijay Singh, Rakesh Kumari, Raghubir Singh and Pardeep Singh.
In Under-17 boys singles final, Saransh of APS BD Bari defeated Abhishek Sharma of M V International, while in Under-14 boys single final, Nishkarash Saini of APS BD Bari defeated Ritesh Sharma of Calvary Mission High School Ghagwal.
The officials present on occasion included Ravi Kumar Mathur (Convener), Anirudh Singh Slathia, Raj Singh Chib, Rekha, Kulbir Singh, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Hardeep Singh, Dalbir Singh, Randhir Singh, Sanjay Singh, Ravi Singh, Suman Raj Singh and Taranjit Singh.
