Hari Prabhu Sanstha organizes medical camp

JAMMU, Apr 28: A free medical camp-cum-eye checkup camp was organized by Hari Prabhu Sanstha in collaboration with ASCOMS Hospital, at its Ashray in Nagrota Gujroo, tehsil Billawar, district Kathua.
During the camp, 350 patients hailing from various villages of Tehsil Billawar were checked up and diagnosed, out of which 28 Eye patients were screened for Cataract surgery, which will be done free of cost at ASCOMS Hospital.
Besides distribution of free medicines, Eye patients with low vision were also provided free spectacles. The team of doctors led by Dr P Sadhotra, who provided their services during the camp included Dr Rushali Langer, Dr Sourab Sharma, Dr Izaz Ahmed Bhutt, Dr Rajesh Agarwal, Dr Vikas Mahajan, Dr Shivali Ranjan and Dr Apurab Gupta.
The camp was sponsored by State Bank of India, Ramkot Branch, under CSR scheme.
Meanwhile, president, Hari Prabhu Sanstha, disclosed that the organization sanctioned and disbursed financial assistance of Rs 2.58 lakh during financial year 2014-15 under its mission to help the poor and downtrodden people of the society.
Out of this amount, he said a sum of Rs 1.08 lakh was disbursed to widows, old age people and handicapped persons; Rs 50000 as scholarship to the poorest and meritorious students; Rs 60000 as financial help for the marriages of poor and orphan girls and Rs 40000 was disbursed among three patients suffering from serious ailments for their medical treatment at different hospitals.
