One dead, another injured in separate road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, Apr 28: In separate road accidents, driver of a load carrier died and a person sustained critical injuries while an Army Jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances, here today
Reports said that driver of a load carrier died when his vehicle rolled down in a deep gorge near Channi Morh, here today. The deceased was identified as Sajjad Ahmad, son of Freed Ahmad of Berinag.
The accident took place when the load carrier was on way from Dhar Road to Udhampur town.  The injured driver was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
In a separate road accident, an Army vehicle rolled down into deep gorge near Dudhar Nallah, here today, resulting into serious injuries to a person. The Army vehicle was on its way from Jabalpur to Udhampur when it met with the accident near Dudhar Nallah. Police and local shifted the injured person to Udhampur District Hospital where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment. The injured was identified as Virban (32) son of Rabban of Jabalpur.
Meanwhile, an Army Jawan of 52- RR was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Kud, here today. The deceased was identified as Bhupinder Kumar, son of Lila Dhar of Shiv Pur, Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police, Bhupinder Singh was on way from Udhampur to 52- RR HQ Kashmir. He was found lying in an unconscious State on the National Highway near Kud. Some passersby shifted him to PHC Kud where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause of the death was not yet ascertained while the Kud Police has registered a case in this connection under Section 174 for further investigations.
