BJP leader expresses grief over toddler’s death in fire

Srinagar, Apr 30: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Muhammad Anwar Khan today visited Laridora village of Baramulla district where a toddler was charred in a fire incident.
In a statement, Khan said he met the family of deceased and expressed his heartfelt sympathies with them. “I assured them of all possible help,” he said.
In the incident, the house of Showkat Ahmad was gutted resulting in the death of his one and half year old son. His 14 year old daughter is also missing since the incident.
“I told them that the matter of their relief and rehabilitation would be raised with the State Government. I also met Deputy Commissioner Baramulla in this regard,” the BJP leader said.
