JAMMU, May 1: A mentally challenged boy today died of drowning in an underground water tank in Narwal area.
According to a police spokesperson, the boy has been identified as Satyanand (10) son of Dayashanker, a resident of UP (at present SOS Home, Channi Ramma). He said the accident happened this evening in the premises of SOS Home when the child was playing with other inmates.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for post mortem and other legal formalities. The police has registered a case in this regard and informed the family members of the deceased child in UP.
