JAMMU, May 1: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal today chaired a meeting of senior officers to take stock of various major development projects being executed in Jammu city.
The meeting had a detailed review of updated status of work on multi-tier parking at Bus Stand, Surinsar, Mansar Water Supply Scheme, Seed Multiplication Farm under agriculture sector, Industrial Estate Jammu, New Legislature Complex, Bahu-Mubarak Mandi Ropeway Project, Artificial Lake in Tawi river, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Golf Course, sewerage system, Chenab water supply scheme, four laning of Satwari-Kunjwani Road and Convention Centre Jammu.
Emphasizing on maintaining professionalism which is vital for timely and quality completion of any project, Divisional Commissioner exhorted upon the executing agencies to further speed up the pace of progress on their respective projects so that these could be completed within the stipulated time frame. He also asked them to ensure qualitative and quantative improvement in these major projects which will enhance the beauty of the city of temples.
He also had a detailed review of the physical and financial achievements registered in these projects so far. He asked the officers to redouble their efforts besides keep their men and machinery on toes so as to complete the projects in a fixed time period and use resources as per the requirements besides removing bottlenecks if any hampering these projects. He laid stress on maintaining financial discipline by utilizing funds in appropriate manner.
Among other the meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Vice Chairman JDA, Mubarak Singh, , Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Soujanya Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer PHE Sushil Aima, Additional Commissioner Rehana Batul, Project Manager ERA, Shakti Sagar besides other senior officers of all concerned departments.
